Collection to search

Report up to records per page.

Search Any field to look for information in all fields of a stock record (Stock number, Genotype, Chromosomes affected, Breakpoints, Donor, Date Added, Comments).
Select a Symbol option to search only in the genotype field of a stock record.
Select Added on or after (date) to search for stocks new to the list (currently relevant only to Bloomington stocks). Type a date in the format mm/dd/yy.

Use the appropriate FlyBase species abbreviation to search for non-melanogaster stocks.

Valid allele, aberration and expanded insertion symbols are used in genotypes, with square brackets [] enclosing superscripts. Search for the complete symbol for alleles and aberrations, e.g., bcd[5], Df(2R)bw-D23, or use wild-cards, e.g., bcd*, Df(2R)bw* (a wild-card is placed at the end of your search string by default). Use the construct symbol when searching for transposon insertions, e.g., lacW, GawB, neoFRT; use wild-cards to find insertions using a partial symbol, e.g., *FRT*, *GFP*. For further details see Stocks Search Help.

To find stocks using symbol synonyms (e.g., bcd[111-3]) or gene names rather than symbols (e.g., bicoid rather than bcd) use the FlyBase Gene, Allele, Aberration or Insertion search to reach the relevant FlyBase report, which will include links to stock records if stocks are available.

The Bloomington Stock Center provides browsing lists for mapping stocks, balancers, deficiency and duplication kits, GAL4 and FRT insertions, etc.
